Rythmbox no longer syncs my Ipod touch 1st gen.

I am using 10.10 and the best feature i have found with 10.04 and 10.10 is ipod touch support, i have been using it for weeks to sync music onto my ipod touch but now when i the option to open it with rythmbox it picks up my ipod but it says there is no music on it. When i try to click the "sync library " option rythbox just totally crashes. I have also tried on banshee and it dose not pick up my music ether, this is not nice

Have you tried using amarok?

For some reason amarok has never ever worked with me, when i try to play a song on amarok it just skips though every song without playing them, even when i have all the plugins, Very odd.

Another problem ive noticed is banshee wont import the songs that i pulled off of my ipod touch using rythmbox that are saved in my music folder hmm.

Just downloaded amarok there and tried it out, looks really nice but it still won't play any of my songs, when i click any one of them it just skips though every song without playing them.

When my ipod touch is mounted, when i boot up amarok my ipod ejects itself. Im really confused :/

It's a jailbroken 2.2.

I have the same problem. 1st generation Ipod touch, jailbroken and not functional with 10.10.
However my sons new Ipod (not jailbroken, 3rd generation i think) works fine with 10.10.

Fortunately I can still use 10.04 LTS.
