    WICD do not have WEP 40/128-bit Key for security

    I installed WICD from the Synatic Package Manager.
    I can use it for wired connection.
    I can see my connection from whichever user I switch to.
    It cannot be use for my wireless connection.
    WICD do not have WEP 40/128-bit Key for security which is what I need for my wirelesss Security WEP key.
    Can someone please help.

    I know squat about wicd - but.....why not just use the default network manager? The key(s) as you are describing are easily setup.

    I use WICD for my wireless connection because it is more stable than network manager. It DOES have WEP 40/128-bit security, I'm using it, so you must look at your set up more carefully.

    Please refer to my attachment, the Property page of my ZyXEL Wireless router and the drop-down list for Use Encryption does not have have WEP 40/128-bit security on the list.
    Where else can I look for the WEP 40/128-bit security from the Property page of my ZyXel Wireless router.
    Please help.

    Attached is a screenshot of my WICD properties, the dropdown menu shows the WEP line I selected. The WEP hex is the 40/128 that you need. Just click on the dropdown and select it.

    Just FYI - I think the screen shot you posted was of the wired connection - I didn't see anything there indicating the wireless, so you wouldn't have encryption as an option. You must look at the wireless.
