    AWN themes

    Ok, so whenever i try to install an awn theme it says incompatible theme file, i dont have desktop effects on because my graphics card is not good enough, i this the problem, do i really need desktop effects, if not what is my problem?

    Are you trying to install by clicking install and then selecting the .tgz file or are you extracting it first?

    you need composting, you can use metacity compsite.

    open gconf-editor, apps-> metacity-> general

    awn shoud then have colors from the theme, the default is to use the gtk theme.

    I changed the Gtk setting and I opend and checked the compositing manager but when i try to use the tgz file it still says incorect theme file

    Im using the .tgz file

    It simply may not be compatible with the version your using.
    Are you using awn from the awn-testing ppa?
    What is your output from
