Unity window buttons don't always work in 12.04

Sometimes when I try to use the minimize, maximize, or close button on a window that is not already maximized, it will behave as if the buttons don't exist at all. When this happens focus switches to whatever window is behind the buttons. The only way I have found to make it work again is to click on the show desktop button and then try again. Is this a known bug? Is there any way for me to fix this?

    Fresh install?
    What video chip/card?
Did you look on Launchpad for a bug report?

This is a pretty new install. I think it's probably been about a week since I installed it. when I ran lspci | grep -i vga it gave this output lspci | grep -i vga 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) Also, if it helps, my laptop is a Dell Latitude D620. I don't know what launchpad is, but I'll look it up right now.
