3 works fine. NV uses much of the same engine, so its likely to work sooner or later. I think some people have had limited success already.

well i dunno about wine on ubuntu but fallout new vegas works great on my arch system. you need
to install dx9 and vcrun2008 with winetricks to get it to run good as well as wine 1.3.6 hope this helps.
