[solved]color of slide bar in SuperOS

Fairly new to Gnome and the Ubuntu forum. I don't know if this is posted in the right place.

Got SuperOS 10.10 32 bit installed and love it. It is quick to boot, shutdown, get around in, and work in. I have been using the ambiance theme and like it except that the slide bar is white and hard to see. I switched to clearlooks and that gives me a blue slide bar but the close, maximize, minimize in clearlooks is on the right side. I have gotten used to ambiance with the close, maximize, minimize button being on the left side. I went into system tools, Ubuntu tweak, window manager settings while in clearlooks and unclicked the custom button arrangement and chose the left alignment but nothing changed. Do I have to do this as sudo or save the setting somehow? I was not able to determine how to do it and make it stick.

Nevermind. I will just switch to another distro. This seems to be not getting a lot of hits.
