Clicking on /places/(anyplace) - Will not open, instead runs the Open office starting image, but doesn't open Open Office.

Do Alt+F2, type in "nautilus" in the box; when the file browser comes up, right-click on a directory, select 'Open with other application', opt for File Browser and tick 'Remember this application for "folder" files'.
