Hi guys, this is not an ubuntu problem, or on fact any OS problem, but I have a hardware problem on my laptop. I have a Toshiba a300 1E7 and I think it is an excellent laptop that I don't want to get rid off. The problem I'm having is that it will randomly reboot if the power supply is plugged in. It is perfectly fine when running off the battery. I have tried using a different PS but it still has the same problem so it definitly a problem with the laptop. Can any of you lot think of a way I can get around this problem? I don't really need the laptop to be able to run off the battery if I can hack it in some way. I'm going to keep an eye out on ebay for a knackered laptop so I can replace the mobo.
any ideas out there??
