I've got the same problem with a Toshiba NB505 working with EasyPeasy, which is based on Ubuntu. I've downloaded the driver by the link above (which is actually rtl_92ce*, but works with 8188CE) and got the same errors during the instalation. So I've made a make uninstall, make clean and tried the third kind of installation described on the readme file eaven working with kernel 2.6.32-37 and everything works fine. Probably installing the proper compat driver by Synaptic will work too.
