I felt the need to come here and cool off a little. I ran across this new post and I wanted to give the poor guy an earful of my MANY past frustrations with his company and their half-hearted, sit-on-the-fence "support" for Ubuntu machines. I wanted to complain about their web site and the difficulty in finding laptops or PCs with Ubuntu installed, and about the ever-present, odious "We recommend Windows 7" ads that are plastered on every bloomin' page, including where the Linux machines are shown (if you can even FIND those pages at all)...

I have long wished to have a (ahem) little chat with a marketing rep from this particular company. But what I'd have to say to them would likely get me banned from UF.

I figured, just to be safe, I'd better search out this poor buried old game thread and rant here instead...So now I have to apologise for ranting and for not feeling charitable towards a marketing person. I should also probably stay away from the forums for a few days.

On a lighter note, I did leave only a very short comment...so I am rather proud of showing such monumental self-restraint.

I have to go take my meds now.

... taking so long to sympathise with the above poster's distress. My only plea in mitigation is a self interest in my rapidly deteriorating physical self, my intellectual self having been declared beyond redemption many years ago.
