Can't Open VIM From Terminal

I have recently upgraded to Ubuntu 10.10 and can't open vim from the terminal. I am the only user and I have 3 admin. accounts and 1 user account. All admin. accounts except one will open vim when I enter "vim". All 3 admin. accounts have the exact same permissions in Users and Groups. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Is there an error message of some sort when you try to start vim?
