Actually album art fetching works wonderful in 0.2.11 version (daily svn packages). Unfortunately, a few days ago I had to switch back to 0.2.10 because I made a plugin update and plugins weren't working anymore, but I kept my album art cache .

    In Dapper , I installed Exaile 0.2.10 , but it won't start..

trying to run it from the command line, there is the message :

" import error no module named oggvorbis"

tried Synaptic for this, no luck . What to do?

Exaile does not run well on dapper because dapper's version of mutagen (the tag-reading library exaile uses) is too old. You'll have to either use an older exaile, install a newer mutagen, or upgrade to a more recent version of ubuntu.

Seems to work just fine. I wish it showed album art next to the artists when looking for a new cd to play. Maybe that's just a dirty joy from windows media player though.

Question Re: New music player - Exaile!

Ok, I have looked every where for an answer and not found one, so I finally signed up to the forums! I can't seem to play .wma files in Exaile it loads all of my mp3's and plays them fine, but it won't load any of my wma's, help? I am pretty shore they are not protected, but is there a way I can check this?

    hope some one can help!!

It's likely just missing the right gstreamer plugin to open wma files, this should fix it:

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-multiverse gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg

Cool Re: New music player - Exaile!

ok, now if I go to the files tab and load a wma it will play it but even after re-building the database it still won't load it into the collection.

in both 2.10 and 2.11... the star icons for the ratings do not show up and if i right click > info and then click on lyrics or artist... the program crashes.
