Can you run exaile from a terminal and posting the output after a rescan?

Feature that hasn't been implemented yet. Here's the request: http://www.exaile.org/trac/ticket/271

Hm, that shouldn't be happening. What version are you using? If its not 0.2.10 go to exaile.org and download the latest version.

that didn't solve my problem I downloaded 0.2.10 ( before it was 0.2.8 ) but it didn't create a collection too. I have the same output from terminal.

try removing the config and starting over:
    Code:
    rm -r ~/.exaile

I think I should use Banshee. It is not as good as Exaile but run correctly on my system.

Is there anyway to get my hotkeys working with it? I know I can pass arguements like exaile - play but I want the keys availiable for other programs too. I have taken a look at ReMoot but I'm still trying to figure it out. I can't figure out how to get any program to accept ReMoot commands (even if I specify them in hotkeys) like remoot play

Maybe so. If you use IRC, you could try to catch synic in #exaile, he might be able to help you better than I can.

Exaile should simply accept the multimedia keys from gnome automatically, if its not you need to upgrade to a newer version.

Re: New music player - Exaile!

OMG, I just solved a really big issue today. I was having trouble getting Exaile to seek to the right spot in a track when I clicked the time progress bar. Turns out to solve this I had to install the "gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3", which was a complete guess since it was already playing mp3s properly without it. This was becoming really annoying.

A side effect though is that Totem displays N/A for the codec and bitrate entries for any MP3 now, although Exaile displays the bitrates properly though. I prefer proper seek ability to Totem's file analysis though
