I found this media player not two days ago....and I instantly replaced Quod Libet with it. It doesn't crash like Quod Libet was. I even made a script for conky that displays the currently playing song, artist, and album, if anyone wants the script they can message me.

But yes, Exaile is amazing, I was able to configure pretty much all of my keyboard shortcuts over ten times faster for fluxbox, than I spent on Quod Libet.
sudo rm -rf permanently deletes files. Don't use it unless you KNOW what you are doing!

Awesome! But, when I exit exail and on a different time open it again, the colums are reset to the defaults, my other settings are still normal the way I like them but the colums get reset.

I have installed it but no sound - there doesn't seem to be any options to change settings, and spdif works with pretty much everything else.
I would love to use Exaile, but i am connected with spdif and cannot get it working satisfactorily.
I have Mythbuntu installed, and currently use Amarok for music. Both are using sound through spdif and working well.
I tried configuring Exaile with "gstreamer-properties" but no sound whatsoever.

I created a ".asoundrc" file and put

    pcm.!default spdif

in the file. This works (sound now comes out) but quality is no good, it sounds like my speakers are vibrating badly
(same songs with Amarok are crystal clear).
What else can i try? Is there a simple plugin for Exaile, or one planned?

Currently there's no way to do this, but Exaile 0.3 will allow you to set the audiosink parameters however you want, enabling things like this.

I have compiz running. Are there any conflicts when running both applications at the same time?
