Steering wheels and pedal that work in Ubuntu (10.10)

I used to be an avid and some would say not too shabby sim racer but I haven't been in a racing for many years. I tried LFS in WINE last night, just on my laptop, works like a charm everything maxed out and still getting 45FPS.

So, anyone currently using a steering wheels and pedal combo they could recommend?

We had a Logitech Momo Racing Force, it was USB, the force feedback did not work. We had some trouble with WINE games, but I am sure it worked eventually. This was about 2005 we had this thing so guessing there is newer better ones now.

Thanks Naiki. Might have a look at one of those. I currently have these gathering dust which is a crying shame:

Gonna see what I can do with them tonight with Live For Speed.

Well Live For Speed looks gorgeous, and it detects the wheel/pedal combo, but wont configure correctly. Need new kit I think.

Did you need to install anything extra on wine 1.3.5 (winetricks) to get it working? I want to try that game out

No. Just had standard Wine install. No Winetricks needed. LFS can be run using a mouse as a controller and bear in mind, this was only running on my laptop and I was getting 80+ FPS
