Yep, no sign of Windows I'm afraid It's been stomped on. Something obviously went wrong in the partitioning choosing phase.
You could maybe try Testdisk and see what it finds, but I fear the worst.
On the brighter side you've got a sweet looking Ubuntu install

she just does not like it...she prefers office. she just cant get used to it.
