I have Ubuntu 10.04 installed on a Dell M1730. I am using it to share multiple hard drives to my network. 3 hard drives are connected via USB and two are connected via eSATA. The two eSATA are plugged into a Dynex DX-ESATL ExpressCard. I have these drives mapped on a Windows 7 computer. Using the Windows 7 computer, if I am listening to music from one of the USB drives or one of the eSATA drives and access the other eSATA drive when it has "gone to sleep", the music will pause until the drive has spun up again then the music starts and the drive can be accessed as normal.

If I am using the Ubuntu computer and perform the same procedure there does not seem to be any problem. This may be a Windows problem. I am not sure how to narrow it down or if this is just normal behavior?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.
