Exclamation (Ubuntu 10.10) Is Empathy acting up for any one else when using Google Talk?

Ok, Ubuntu 10.10 is the hottest thing since sliced bread. Unfortunately Empathy is acting really screwy when using Google Talk. For example, when people call me it some times doesn't connect. When it does connect the call quality is worse than with Google Talk in Gmail. Finally, Empathy crashes randomly - I have to force close. Just me? Any solutions?

Same problem in 10.10. However, Empathy only crashes when I attempt to initiate a conversation with one contact. It works fine with other contacts, or when that contact initiates the convo. It only crashes when I initiate. Weird.
