EDIT: SOLVED! I dug around and noticed some serious kernel issues. Reverted back and all is fine.
Since I moved to Lucid (from Hardy and Jaunty), I have been experiencing audio problems when I listen to radio streams. It has been bugging me for months, but latelty it has become impossible to listen to anything at all. It doesn't matter which format or player I use. Audio glitches and buffering stops, usually just after less than a minute of listening. And sometimes the player starts again after a few seconds, sometimes it starts again after an hour (if I forgot to turn it off), and sometimes it doesn't come back at all.
This applies, as I said, to all formats and players I have tried.
MP3, wmv, flv, ogg
Flash Player, VLC, Mplayer, Totem
I'm on a 64-bit system, and have been since Hardy 8.04. I've also been on wireless for the same amount of time, but this is the first time this has ever occurred.
Any ideas, anyone?
