Alas, they've done something differently in 13.04 and the driver won't load, either using the PPA or the Software centre. All of a sudden I don't have a printer.

If you delete any existing printers set up ..as they don't seem to work..

the driver package comes down as cnijfilter-mg5200series-3.40-1-deb.tar.gz .......if you download this and select "SAVE" to your downloads folder
What happens if you paste these commands into a terminal?
cd Downloadstar -zxvf cnijfilter-mg5200series-3.40-1-deb.tar.gzcd cnijfilter-mg5200series-3.40-1-deb......that should have you up and running ...........sudo ./install.sh
you can check that it is installed by the command
sudo dpkg -l | grep cnijfilter
