    Newgroups and IRC Channels?

    I was wondering if anyone could suggest any good linux related irc channels and newsgroups? both support and general discussion.

    Yeah I know freenode is a server with many linux channels But some seem to be totally dead or seemily full of lurkers. I thought some people here might know of/use more active channels on other servers and could recomend some. Thanks though
