Does installing Clam slow Ubuntu's startups?..

Something that I'm installing in 910 is really messing up boot-up.. slowing it down a lot... Today's install I didn't install Clam, and it boots-up fast... Which softwares slow-down Ubuntu?.. And are there any that speed-up 910..?

ClamAV should not slow boot times.

Watch your boot messages for errors or look at dmesg (which is a log of boot messages).
There are two mistakes one can make along the road to truth...not going all the way, and not starting.

There aren't any messages.. it's just a very slow abnormal boot up... The tool bar comes up, then the thing takes about a minute, sometimes two, to load the desktop...
It happens after I've installed the many peripheral softwares I like...
It seems that if I don't install Clam and its scanner capabilities that the slowness doesn't happen...
