Compiz Animation Problems

For some reason, I can enable window minimize animations, and dodge and roll up, but no matter what I set for open and close animations in ccsm, they won't work. The window just pops up without an animation. Can anyone help?

Try install simple-ccsm see if it works enable extra animations

sudo apt-get install simple-ccsm
