    ATI ALL-IN-WONDER 3D rage II+

I salvaged an original ati all in wonder the 1996 one and I was wondering how to set up the tv tuner on it.

Given that in the US, at least, all TV is now broadcast in digital mode, an old analog tuner is worthless -- unless you buy a converter box. And, I have no idea HOW you would use that with a PC.

Also, there are NO ATI restricted drivers that will work with this card, so while the open-source drivers MIGHT work, they most probably will not work with the TV portion of the card.

That law only effects over the are broadcasts not cable. But most cable companies brodcast in digital.

Has any one tried the soft ware from gatos.sourceforge.net?

Quite true ... but your original question only asked how to set up the "tv tuner" -- implying that you wanted to use it to select channels.

If all you're going to do is hook a coax cable to the input port and pass that signal through to your PC, you should be able to do that without problems.
