Problem with global menu

I went to install gnome globalmenu, but when ever it tries to configure it says that

No package 'glib-2.0' found
No package 'gobject-2.0' found
No package 'gmodule-2.0' found

are not installed, but i know for a fact i installed them...
so why isnt it recognizing this?
ive checked both package managers and they both show the packages installed, how can i get this to work?
