Both my motherboard & memory are designed to run at 1066 Mhz, but are set to 800 Mhz by default. Today I got around to changing that, and have found that Ubuntu freezes completely about +/-10 minutes after boot.

I am running 64-bit Lucid on the following:
-Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H AM3 Motherboard
-AMD Athlon II X2 Regor 3.0GHz
-(Two) G.Skill 1GB DDR2 (F2-8500CL5S-1GBPK)

I don't know much about memory, but did notice a significant increase in performance with 1066, now only if it didn't crash

Any memory experts out there have an idea?
