    Problems with bootcamp

    ok so im trying to set up linux with bootcamp
    problem is its teling me i need to update my software even though i already have it updated
    ive also used my disk utility to repiar permissions

    Hi,
    if I where you I wouldn't use bootcamp to install Ubuntu or any other Linux flavour on your Mac - have a look at the instructions I posted for Dual/Triple Booting with rEFIt - its really simple to set up and works great.

    If you have any more questions feel free to ask as the guide may not cover everything.

    Also it would help everyone if you could post what Mac and OS X you are trying to perform this on (e.g. MacBook Pro 6,2).
