Cplay, MP3 problem

when ever I attempt top play a MP3 file using cplay it does not work. What should I do to fix this, please and thank you.

Did you install the mpg123 package ?

probably not what do i have to do to install it? or check to see if i have?

Open a terminal

sudo apt-get install mpg123

Another useful app that would work is mpg321. You can also use synaptic to install mpg123. Just like to add I'm happy to see someone else use cplay as I find it a great simple player.
