Angry ubuntu 10.04, internet not working through router

Hi, I am new to ubuntu and having problems getting connected to the internet. My internet works fine if I plug directly into the modem, but if I go through the router either using ethernet or wireless it doesn't work. I can access the router perfectly when using wireless and change settings and all that but cant access the internet. From what I've read it isn't a DNS issue because I cant get a result from pinging an ip, so I think it may be something firewall related but I'm unsure. Help would be much appreciated.

It could be a routing issue. Check route -n when connected to router and when connected to modem.

Hey, tried it. The only difference is that it went three times for the wireless, but only 2 times for wired. The metrics were also different for one of them
