When booting my computer today I noticed that I can't enter the login screen. I don't get GUI, just text boot. I do notice a flash at the end of the boot sequence (text), the text is native resolution and some green dots, then it goes back to the boot sequence and hangs.
- I tried recovery mode, which works, in text at least. When i try failsafeX it just behaves the exact same way, a quick flash then it goes back to the Recovery Menu OR hangs/freezes.
It is the EXACT same if I go to root shell prompt and type 'kdm'.
Kubuntu 10.04 x64
KDE 4.5
ATI Catalyst 10.7
Now, what can I try?
Edit: Apparently uninstallation of ATI drivers was enough.
