Small Text and Images In Ubuntu

My friend asked me to post here to ask for help. He has Ubuntu on his computer and he told me that one day when he turned It on all the text and Images on his computer are small. This even happens when he opens the Internet, not just on his desktop. Could this be an Ubuntu problem or could there be a setting that was accidentally switched? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's possible that a graphics driver update now means that the screen resolution has changed. A higher screen resolution makes things appear smaller on the screen.
