Hi--
Guess I am going to need some more help here, please.
The machine I was working on continues to work OK.
However, I have upgraded another (and still have two more to go), and this one has no internet either.
I have run these commands, with these results:
Code:
doug@earth:~$ cat resolv.conf
cat: resolv.conf: No such file or directory
doug@earth:~$ cat /etc/resolv.conf
# Dynamic resolv.conf(5) file for glibc resolver(3) generated by resolvconf(8)
# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE BY HAND -- YOUR CHANGES WILL BE OVERWRITTEN
doug@earth:~$
doug@earth:~$ route -n

There is no NM icon on the panel.
I added the hwaddr to the network manager. I tried to tick the box for "available to all users" but it would not accept that, even when I ran network manager as su.
Other than that, I have no clue.
So how do I get the internet up on this machine, if anybody has any clues?
Thanks!
