    iMac G3 Recommended Linux Distros

    Hello All.
I would like to know which Linux distro I should use for my iMac G3 600mhz, 128MB of RAM and my eMac G4 700MHz, 256MB of RAM. I am thinking about Puppy Linux, Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Peppermint or others. Since I need to sell these, the distro needs to be user friendly.
    Thanks

I would recommend Debian, with an XFCE4 desktop. It will run well on low RAM machines and has better support for the ppc platform than most other distros. I don think Debian deserves its reputation of not being user friendly. I have installed it on low end machines for several people who had no linux experience, with nothing but positive results.

I am also very happy with Debian Linux. I run a slightly patched LXDE Mint version.

    Debian.

Debian will still be supporting Powerpc long after everyone else has gone. Runs great here. Rock solid, fast, and up to date. I wouldn't dream of going back to OSX or any other distro on this arch. Everything I need works, bar the minor inconvenience of some flash sites.

    Oh and Happy Debian Day

i think the best choice for your skill is Debian or Frugalware.

What is the minimum amount of memory it will run and install with?

If you want X, I would recommend at least 128 Mb, but with such a low amount, you need to think about a lightweight desktop manager like LXDE or Fluxbox.

Thank you all. Special thanks to linuxopjemac.
So, where can I get the LXDE desktop for Debian? What about Mint or Peppermint with LXDE?

I'm a convert from Yellow Dog Linux based off the RedHat version for x86. It was my intro to Linux on the PowerPC platform 12 years ago.
