Thunderbird Lightning Calendar sync or import from MS Outlook

I have recently started using Thunderbird as my mail client and I like it (much better than what they want me to use - Outlook). Although I am well settled with email and contacts, I still want to import or sync my calendar. I have not come across any decent solution for that.

    Please help.

There are ways to sync your Outlook calendar with Gmail, and the same goes for Lightning...

So you could use that as an common point of synchronization...

gSyncit is one (payable) product for Outlook -> Gmail sync... haven't used it myself so can't put my head on the block for it... there are others...

I use the Google Calender Tab which brings your gmail calender right into Thunderbird as it's live it keeps and reflects any changes you make, personally I find it excellent and would recommend it.

I hope you find what you are looking for.

I am sure there are plenty of articles (in this forum itself). Try searching.

Here's a link with comments that might help you. The forth (or fifth) comment down seems to be very informative.

    Hope this helps.

These are two different plugins, which have got nothing to do with each other.

After you install the Google Calendar Tab you can find a new menu, Google Calendar, in the Tools menu.

Provider for Google Calendar is an extension to Lightning. After you install that you need to add a Google Calendar. Follow the instructions from posted above...
