Question VIA S3G UniChrome -- Did any one suceed in enabling 3D effects ?

    A linux newbie here.
I am having a mercury chipset. On searching the forums i found out someting like " VIA S3G UniChrome ".On further seraching i found out that these are poorly supported chipsets on ubuntu.

Is any one able to enable desktop effects with these chipsets....if yes please provide with the procedure to enable them.I really love them(who dosen't ?? ).Not a must...but that would be great.

Is there any other linux flavor that support these ?

    koneru

VIA open source drivers are not good for 3D, you need to down load driver.
    this may help

Ask for help to install if needed.
