Since ubuntu removed the ability to use 3-finger-tap as middle click and refuse to do anything about it, I have been struggling with this problem.

I don't think running scripts and messing with gconf is an ideal solution so on my previous laptop I got the hang of using touchpad corners to do middle-clicks.

Since I got the Acer, this is now out of the window.
The touchpad corner area is in the very top corner, right in the edge of the recess.

This makes it almost impossible to hit consistently so most taps either do nothing or work as left-click.
I have even tried putting a small sticker on the touchpad but it doesn't help since the actually tap-able area for the corner is tiny.

Does anyone else use the crappy lappy and have any brainwaves?
