    SIngle Boot to Ubuntu?

I have gone 100% to Ubuntu... however when ever I boot, it gives me a white screen if i dont hold the option key first, then i have to select the incorrectly named "windows" to load Ubuntu? how do i make it so that it boots only into Ubuntu?

I also have this problem on my iMac, except I dual boot on my computer with Mac OS X. However, ever since I installed Ubuntu, it is stuck on the white screen without holding option.

Hold down the Option key when you start.... Do you still have OSX Installed?

You should keep OS X installed. just in case. Then you can put rEFIt on there to boot ubuntu

I dont like having to worry about dual booting. takes up to much HD space. with a single OS and the uses of VMs I can add and remove OS's at will.

Do you know any way to use a tool like REFIT out side of MAC OS?

Is there a way to bless Ubuntu as the startup disk in the command line on Mac OS X or Ubuntu?

    Re: SIngle Boot to Ubuntu?

I was able to make Ubuntu the default startup os on my macbook pro by holding down the option key when the chime starts. After the menu loaded I held down the left ctrl key while I pressed enter (or clicked... can't remember which).

I had to do this because no startup disks were listed in system preferences for me.
