Notebook software for Linux

Hi, before I switched to using Linux I used Microsoft OneNote to organise my stuff from lectures and projects. I had a Google for other alternatives but didn't find anything that wasn't commercial. So I thought I'd ask if anyone else knows of any free/open source programs similar to OneNote I could use?

There is note-taking software called Tomboy Notes that comes with Ubuntu by default.

You can find it by going to Applications -> Accessories -> Tomboy Notes.

From what I've seen from both, there's no possible comparison between Tomboy and OneNote.

What I use for lab notebook is a wiki. Actually, we have one running in the lab whit a private section for each person (lab notebook) and a public section (for methods and collaborations). The wiki we use is dokuwiki but there's others.

Red Notebook is pretty good.
