Yes, I have seen the old thread on AI Nap.
What are others experiences with this feature?
AI Nap shuts down motherboard devices such as sound cards, unused nic's and video cards.
Also turns down fans and clocks down the CPU.
It doesnt just turn off the monitor like some other uneducated ppls have pointed out.
Basically turns your big honkin desktop into a somewhat dormant file server.
This allows you to run P2P apps like a torrent client overnight with less power draw and quieter fans.
has anyone got this to work under ubuntu?
