    panp7 doesn't dim on battery

I am running 64 bit Ubuntu 10.04 on a panp7. I have the power management settings set to lower the backlight when it's on battery power. However it does not reduce the backlight until the battery drops below 10%. How can I change it to automatically lower the backlight when using battery power regardless of the battery's charge?

You'll want to open up power management. (System > Preferences > Power Management) and go to the "On Battery Power" Tab. The bottom two options should be "Reduce Backlight Brightness" and "Dim Display When Idle". Make sure they're both checked.

I just made sure they are both checked. It still doesn't dim until the battery reaches 10%

Can you dim them manually with the Brightness hotkeys? (FN+F8 and FN+F9)

    Yes, the hotkeys work.
