sound muted in pulse audio..cant get mixer to boot

ok the rundown i have my computer set up to use my tascam us-122 external sound card. of course the normal stuff like my movie player and music player work beacause they use alsa. Unfortunately somehow the sound for my music software(reaper set-up to run in wine) and the sound for my internet ===both? set to run on pulse..well the sound is muted and i cant seem to get any mixer to work that might turn the sound back on.

What should i do here? get a new mixer? is there a sudo command?

Delete the mixer and then reinstall it and see if that helps. Can you set everything to run on ALSA?
There are a lot of mixers you can download load. Try another one.
