Help: web browser acting funny

Hi I am getting redirected to some videocop.com from Firefox, Seamonkey or Chrome. What is going on? Is this a virus?
The problem started less than a week ago.
I run Ubuntu Lucd 32 bit edition.
Please help.

This is not a virus (I am pretty sure).

In what situations are you redirected? e.g. as soon as it opens, when you try to navigate to certain websites, etc.

Did you try clearing your cache, cookies, etc?

This happens randomly. Usually it happens when I visit a website, the page starts loading, when suddenly whoooosh!!! ----I am redirected to this site
I set up my browsers to clear all browing history/cookies on exit.

I mostly use Seamonkey. I purged Seamonkey from the command line ( I use the ubuntuzilla version) and reinstalled it. I deleted the seamonkey folder under my .mozilla folder and restored it from a backup taken a few months ago.
Did not help.

It may be a browser virus, mark firefox for complete removal in package manager then go to your home folder & delete the mozilla folder. Try to install again. DO NOT import any settings. If that doesn't work uninstall and use Opera or Chromium
