Unhappy All backgrounds are in /usr/share/backgrounds??!

What happened to my collection of wallpapers? I do not want to use the /usr/share/background images!

Updating from 9.04 -> 9.10 ->10.04 has killed my wallpapers. Does anyone know what file I have to edit/change/fix to make my Pictures folders the default user wallpapers directory again?

Patiently he explained, I did that several years ago, and I can always do it again. The point is Lucid lost the list of images I use for backgrounds. Where's that?
