I am looking for a good network log viewer.
Something like firestarter would be ideal, where connections are displayed realtime in a clear manner.
Ideally there would be some tie-in with the actual firewall functions, so that if required I could make rules by clicking on connection display entries and selecting the desired action.

As I understand it, gufw and firestarter are functionally very similar, and that gufw is probably the more generally preferred and the one thats still under development.
However I am not asking about firewalls here.
I am asking about good, clearly displayed logging utilities.
I only mention firestarter because it has a nice display of active connections, and reflect any alerts in the taskbar & its interface.
I am looking for something like a conky window, but less ugly than standard conky tcp_portmon, or like netstat, or lsof offer.. but in a more user firendly gui.
If there is such a thing, and it also has some firewall rule creation tools as i indicated above thats great. But this is NOT a 'which firewall do i need" question.
