Backup postfix relay

Hi,

Some questions first in case ive got it wrong

If a mail server is down, all mails will bounce right away right?
If so, if you set up your MX with priority you can have a back up mail server?

If the above is true then can you rig postfix to be a backup relay host that stores mails for x days incase the main server is down?

All i get when i search for relay is smtp relaying which i guess it not what i need.

If you got any suggestions what to search for id appreciate it!

Apparently it was quite neasy so issue is now resolved.
