May have installed UBUNTU with an inactive wireless card
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Here is my issue:
I installed UBUNTU on an old Toshiba Satellite I had lying around. I did a full install, not a side by side with windows. The wireless card is not working. I have read the forums and found that I should have booted windows first, turned the wireless card back on and then installed Ubuntu. The output of <ndiswrapper -l> (I think i did that right) is nothing, not one line. The <lpshl> (again I believe that is what I entered) outputs all the installed hardware. It "sees" the second network connection (I say second to ethernet) but it doesn't know anything about it. Am I screwed because I completely erased windows?
