    Smile flashdrive permission

    Hey,
just bought a new flash drive and tried to drag data onto it. it says
i dont have permission to do it.

The folder "Documents" cannot be copied because you do not have permissions to create it in the destination.

It then gives me 3 options skip, retry and close.

I navigated then to the computer file browser and clicked on the icon. It says
    Unable to mount location
internal error: No mount object for mounted volume.

Any ideas? i have installed usb mount.

    Re: flashdrive permission

Let's try making sure it's got a partition and it's formatted first:

Please open "System"->"Administration"->"Disk Utility" while you have your new USB drive plugged in and have a look at whether or not the SSD/flash drive has a file-system or not.

So far '10.04 LTS' deals with USB drives and other bits and pieces out of the box for me and I wonder what made you install "usb mount" - will you please tell me the package name that you installed for it?
