Tally.ERP 9.

Installed Tally.ERP (v1.0.1.61/not a cracked version). Recieve an error "Out of Memory" when launched.

Just to test, I installed a cracked version off the web (Tally 9 v2.14) which seemed to launch fine.

Anybody experienced this before?

Also, installed the ERP one on a Windows machine. The registry has a couple of ODBC entries for Tally. Do you guys think this could be an issue?

PS: I've never used Tally before. Just trying to set it up for a friend who wants to try it out on Ubuntu 10.04.

did you test with wine-1.2?

open a terminal and type `wine --version`

I'm using wine-1.1.42. Installed it off apt://wine

Used it with the stable release.. launches fine now! Thanks!

hope u r still subscribed to this thread. this is the only page where i have seen someone say 'tally' started alright. unfortunately it doesnt have details. i too am facing the same problem ( out of memory error). so if you have managed to overcome this problem, i will be very thankful if you let me know how you managed it. i am using wine 1.3.4

out of memory?

My Maverick install using tally erp9 installs. but works verry verry slowwwwly!
Each keypress takes time to react.
also colours of screen change to dark! ?(what is THAT going on?)

maybe it needs some supporting dll files in the C:/system folder?

anyone get it working properly???

using 2GB ram, Wine under XP mode, wine v1.2.1 (latest). Tally ERP 9.
