Anyone know of any good gif animator programs?

I'm looking for a good gif animator program for linux. I've tried to use GIMP but lets just say it's not the best tool for the job. I need to find a program that actually GUI, not command line. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Gimp is a GUI program and not command line, not sure what you were doing, but anytime I've animated GIFs that's what I've used.

With Photoshop you can create animated gifs. You can install it via wine. (I finally succeded with CS3)

A GIF file is just a series of frames ..... within GIMP just add the frames as separate layers

GIMP does the animation when saving as as a GIF file set to 100 ms and interlace

Would somebody explain the problem they are having in detail and post a few frames to
show what is going wrong ......

This was done in GIMP ..... and you can get the frames from Blender .....
they are saved in the /tmp directory when you create any animation in blender.

But even hand drawn ones or ones created inside GIMP do the same thing .... there is only
the time interval that needs setting correctly to get the desired effect .....

    This is 179 kb .....
I reduced it to make it quicker to load .... go to my name link to see it larger.

I always use GIMP ..... you can use whatever you want .....
Other things to use are Ktoon and Pencil
