Can't share printer on Windows machine.

Hopefully someone can give me some help. At my office, I run Ubuntu 10.04 on my computer. I am trying to connect to a printer over the network that is connected directly to a Windows XP machine. I have gone through all of the steps to install the printer. I have Samba. The printer is shared on the XP machine. I have the drivers. I can get the printer installed on my machine and send a document to the print spool of the XP machine, but that is where it stops. I get a printer window on the XP machine, but it never prints the document. The document shows to be in the queue, but nothing else happens. I eventually have to cancel the document and manually kill the spooler service. Any ideas on why this may be happening? I am going home for the night, but I am hoping to have lots of suggestions by tomorrow morning! Thanks in advance.

It must be password protected to share printer in Windows. When setting up Windows workgroup need to use the log-in password.
Remember hence where you come and pass it down.
